Polka dots make me smile. It's as simple as that. They are happy and they are fun.
I don't know about you but it is so easy to get wrapped up in the hard things of life and also to make things harder than they need to be. Don't get me wrong, there are hard things and we should not make light of them.
For the past few years now I have made an effort to write down and notice at least three gifts each day. Rainbows in bubbles on the beach, the giggles of little kids playing, the hug from a friend when most needed, hummingbirds visiting the feeders, a good cup of coffee, tears and the ability to feel compassion...
Guess what, it has made a huge difference in my outlook on life, on how I get through my days and mostly as taken the focus off of myself and put it on others. I am surprised at how much happier I am. And I realize it is a choice to look for the gifts.
