Simple, Sassy & Sensational Sweet Cherries

I love cherries. I like to eat cherries, I like home decor that has cherries, I even have a top that I love that has a cherry print. I think I like them so well because they are such a cheerful looking fruit.

When I see cherry trees in blossom it brings a smile to my face. And I can't help but smile when I see decorations with cherries.

So, when I saw the Sweetest Cherries Bundle on page 19 of the 2022/2023 Stampin' Up! catalog it was added to my wish list immediately.

Simple Sweet Cherry Card

This card was so quick and easy to make. I started with a Sweet Sorbet Cardstock card base. For the image layer I used Basic White Cardstock. I stamped the image of the Cherry using Sweet Sorbet Ink. I used the Stamparatus to stamp the cherry because I wanted to ensure a very solid image. I was able to achieve the solid image by reinking three times. It will depend on your ink pad. I then stamped the cherry stem using Soft Suede ink as well as the Thank You For Being So sentiment. I stamped the leaf images using the Garden Green ink. I stamped off one time before stamping the leaf. I then stamped the leaf detail using Garden Green full strength. Finally, I stamped the Sweet sentiment using the Sweet Sorbet. I stamped off once for a lighter color as I didn't want to compete with the cherry image.

Sassy Sweet Cherry Card

I used the same Sweet Sorbet card base and Basic White cardstock layer for the Sassy version of this card. Using the same colors used in the Simple version. I also used a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock for the extra cherry images and leaves. I stamped the top Cherry image onto the Basic White layer. I stamped the other two Cherry image, extra leaves and the stems on the Basic White scrap. I used the Multi-Purpose glue to layer the cherry and leaf images onto the card front as shown.

Sensational Sweet Cherry Card

I used the same Sweet Sorbet card base as in the Simple and Sassy cards. I also cut four strips of the Awash in Beauty designer series paper. The strips are 4 1/4" x 1/2". You will need a small piece of the Hues of Happiness designer series paper to punch one of the cherry images. I used a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock for the extra cherry images and leaves and the sentiment and a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Window Sheet for the first layer of the card top.

Using the Sweet Sorbet ink and the Sweet image I stamped the card base on the right side 5 times. I did use the Stamparatus for good coverage. I then carefully glued the Awash in Beauty strips on the window sheet starting at the top and leaving an inch between each strip. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the Window Sheet on the card front.

Stamp and punch two Cherry images, three stems and three sets of leaves on the Basic White cardstock scrap. I used a 1" x 2 1/2" piece of Basic White cardstock for the sentiment. Punch one cherry image from the Hues of Happiness designer series paper.

I used the multipurpose glue to adhere the two stamped cherry images to the card front. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the punched cherry, and it's leaves. I also used dimensionals to adhere the sentiment.
